Surrealist Poetry 1

I decided to open up a poetry section on this site to feature some of my poetry and writings. This lead me to do a google search for some surrealist poetry. I found these two collections of French surrealist poetry here and here. A short poem that grabbed me:

ARP

Turns without reflections to the curves without smiles of shadows with mustaches, registers the murmurs of speed, the miniscule terror, searches under some cold cinders for the smallest birds, those which never close their wings, resist the wind.

Paul Eluard, translated by Amy Levin
