Daniel’s oil paintings offer a glimpse into a mystical and sometimes turbulent world. While his paintings draw inspiration from the landscape, they also blend together elements of impressionism, abstraction and the surreal. His painting process is both fluid and dynamic, the paint being built up slowly in numerous subtle glazes. Daniel’s paintings invite one to enter a transcendental realm of tranquility and power.
Daniel has been painting since childhood and also works in photography and film. He has had his work exhibited throughout Australia as well as internationally. His work is represented in corporate and private collections around Australia and overseas.
He works from his studio in Melbourne, Australia and has completed Honours in Fine Art from RMIT University, Melbourne and a Bachelor of Arts in Digital Arts from the Australian National University, Canberra.
Daniel has spent many years travelling throughout India, Europe, United States and Australia. Travel and nature forms a major inspiration for his work and he has trekked through the Himalayas, visited the islands of Thailand and spent a year travelling the outback of Australia.
