I’ve recently been selected to exhibit some of my abstract video compositions at the Earthcore Global Carnival music festival in November. It has to be completed in about one and a half months so I need to get moving on it rather soon. I’ve been contemplating how I want the piece to work, whether it will be a loop, and if so, how long. It is meant to go for about an hour apparently – that would be a lot of work to do, so we’ll see how I go. I’m thinking that I need to get a video camera.. more about that later.
In the meantime, here are some example stills from a demo I did for Earthcore. When I get some time I will post a Quicktime .mov up and get some vlog (video log) happening! Both of these stills are a mixture of layered/composited elements. It combines some stills of my paintings, with some sequences from some of my animations. It is then all mixed together with abstract nature footage; things like leaves blowing, ocean waves rushing up onto the shore.
Congratulations – You’ve got a lot of work to do by the look of it!
Looking good though; I’m looking forward to seeing some videos.
